Guess who's back - back again for the last time.

Eminem is back with a brand new single, "Houdini." The track is from the rap icon's forthcoming album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce). Eminem plays on the magician theme with a sample of Steve Miller Band's 1982 hit, "Abracadabra."

In the Rich Lee-directed music video, a portal opens up and a bleach-blonde 2002 Eminem steps through it into the present. From there, the clip runs parallel to his "Without Me" video, with present-day Eminem setting out to find his 2002 self. The two Eminems run wild, and run into everyone from fellow rap legends Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, to Paul Rosenberg and Shane Gillis, and eventually - Pete Davidson.

Eminem's 12th studio effort, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), is due out later this summer. Earlier this month, Em promoted the upcoming record by publishing an obituarty in the Detroit Free Press announcing the death of his alter-ego, Slim Shady.

While no tour has been confirmed, Eminem has one live performance slated at the Formula 1 Pirelli United States Grand Prix on Friday, October 18.

Back in 2020, Eminem came out with his last album - Music to Be Murdered By. Released with no promotion or announcement, the record shot straight to No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and topped Billboard's Top Rap Albums chart. The album went No. 1 in several other countries around the globe, and has since sold over 1 million copies in the U.S. alone.

Eminem's breakthrough came in 1999 with the release of The Slim Shady LP, produced by Dr. Dre. The album was a commercial success and earned Eminem a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. Its controversial lyrics and unique style brought him both fame and notoriety.

Following his initial success, Eminem released The Marshall Mathers LP in 2000, which became one of the fastest-selling albums in U.S. history. Hits like "Stan" and "The Real Slim Shady" showcased his lyrical prowess and complex storytelling. The album received widespread critical acclaim and further cemented his status as a rap icon.

Eminem faced numerous personal challenges throughout his career, including battles with addiction and legal issues. Despite these struggles, he continued to produce successful albums, such as The Eminem Show (2002), which won the GRAMMY® Award for Best Rap Album. His semi-autobiographical film 8 Mile (2002) was also a critical and commercial success, earning him an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Lose Yourself."

After releasing Encore in 2004, Eminem took a hiatus from music to focus on his recovery from addiction. He returned in 2009 with Relapse, followed by Recovery in 2010. "Recovery" was particularly well-received, winning a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and spawning hits like "Not Afraid" and "Love the Way You Lie" featuring Rihanna.

Eminem has continued to release successful albums in recent years, including The Marshall Mathers LP 2 (2013), Revival (2017), Kamikaze (2018), and the aforementioned Music to Be Murdered By (2020). His work remains influential in the rap industry, and he is known for his technical skill, lyrical complexity, and ability to address personal and social issues through his music.

Eminem's impact on the music industry is profound. He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 220 million records sold worldwide. He has won numerous awards, including 15 Grammy Awards, and is often cited as one of the greatest rappers of all time. His contributions to the genre have paved the way for many artists, and his legacy continues to inspire new generations of musicians and fans alike.
